Children
Children are a vital part of the ministry at Light of the World – in fact, there are almost as many kids in our church as there are adults! We have programs designed for children of all ages, year round. Kids Camp
Kids Camp is a week long program that takes place every summer. Kids from ages 3 years old-5th grade come from all over the area to participate. In fact, it’s become so popular that our registration fills up weeks before summer even starts! This combination of high energy, song filled opening and closing programs, and classes like Dad’s Workshop, Arts and Crafts, Beauty Salon, Cooking, Ooey Gooey Experiments, and Sports make Kids Camp a week of summer that is worth remembering! The dates for Summer 2009 will be June 8-12th from 9am-12pm.
GLOW (God’s Love-Our Worship)
GLOW is our hour long Sunday morning worship and educational experience that takes place during both services every week. There are separate classes for ages 3 years old to 5th grade. Classes for our preschool aged kids focus on helping kids learn about God’s love in a safe and fun filled environment, through songs, crafts, puppets, and play time! Our elementary aged programs are split, with half of the time used for action song filled worship, and the other half focused on learning about God’s word. We believe that every child learns differently, so we teach by rotating a variety of learning styles – from art projects and cooking for the visual learners to games and drama for the kinesthetic ones!
Parents can drop off and pick up their kids in the following rooms:
3 - 5 years old: Room 104
K - 2nd grade: Room 107
3rd - 5th grade: Room 108
Adventure Camp
Our church staff believes that Christian summer camps can change kids’ lives, and impact their faith forever. We also know that it’s scary to send kids to a place you’ve never been, entrusting them to the care of people you’ve never met. We are committed to making it easier for parents to give their children a summer camp experience they will never forget. Pastor Greg, Trey and Tricia spend one week each summer reliving their days as camp counselors at a local camp with a week of games, swimming, Bible study, campfires, sleeping in a cabin with your 20 new best friends - and everything else that is glorious about summertime in the eyes of children!

Puppet Ministry
Our middle school youth have developed an amazing ministry for the children of Light of the World through puppetry. The puppets come visit church worship services, our Fall Festival, and children’s ministry programs throughout the school year. Each of our puppets has a name and a life story, and kids at LOTW become fast friends with them, and parents have been known to plan coming to events just to see them!
